Putting myself through school with coffee-slingin' and cookie-bakin' and a little help from my friends and family.

I've lived in New Orleans my whole life (short of 6 months in Texas exile following Hurricane Katrina).  I hope to live somewhere else after I graduate.  Some place cooler.

I absolutely love to cook.  It's one of my favorite things.  I consider it therapy.  I try to take a Zen approach to cooking through intense focus and concentration on each part of the process.  Seriously.

I share my home with two important girls: one human, one feline.  I would love for there to be another in a couple of years.

I've always wanted to write something worth reading.
